A standout among any other shops around the city, this little food haven comes as a masterpiece of Marisse Alvarez-Sy, the owner and passionate creator of this establishment.
A visit to this place could be another sweet escape or a reason to satisfy your sweet cravings. Away from the bustles of the city, this place sits in yet another place thronged only with calming greeneries and a shabby chic interior that’s definitely the thing of today’s millennials.
Unfortunately, diners and guests can’t use the pool facility beside their shop as of the moment, but an al fresco setup under their cabanas could be arranged, should you wish to enjoy your food outside.

Far beyond when the Marisse Patisserie sits now, Marisse already loves to bake and cook together with her family, whose members are also enthusiastic about the same thing she does. Her affinity for baking and cooking, even at a young age, eventually led her to setup a newfound spot for all things delicious.

What we love about Marisse Patisserie’s selection is, undoubtedly, the unique recipes and what can be seen as the products of ample love and devotion to crafting every masterpiece. Every cake is made with a painstakingly immense of passion for formulating recipes that are truly theirs to own.

Their creations set a bar among the ones we usually find here in Cebu for their outlandish combinations, like the Guava Cheesecake, with guava as its main ingredient. At first look, it could be plain and simple, but it definitely tastes just as sinful in every bite. The Pecado Mortal, laden with an ultimately rich chocolate flavor with hints of coffee and casuy brittles, is a delightful treat for chocolate lovers.
Other impeccable choices you wouldn’t want to swerve from are their Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake, Pappy’s Banana Guava Cake, Brownie Cheesecake, and Strawberry Matcha Cake – unless, of course, you’re trying to fulfill a never-ending path to take dieting seriously. (In that case, you’ll oh-so regret it later on.)

Their frappes also have an impeccable taste to them, and with quite an affordable price at that, too. The Matcha Frappe stood out for me as, being a picky Matcha drinker, it tasted like the unpretentious Matcha drink it should be. There are other options as well such as the Caramel Frappe, Mocha Frappe, and Strawberry Frappe, among others.
Sandwiches and Breads
There’s a variety of sorts over their counter filled with hot-off-the-grill sandwiches and loaves of bread. There were some S’mores Bar, Oatmeal Guava Cheesecake Bar, Oatmeal Mango Bar, and Ube White Chocolate Bar – all these left some very notable delicious remarks from me and my friends. Notice, again, how the combinations simply denote how innovative Marisse can be when it comes to her creations.
