The Cebu City Marriott Hotel buffet offers you an excellent dining experience to satiate your stomach. From their fantastic culinary showcase, to healthy mornings spent with their breakfast spreads, I’ve always been a delighted customer at their Garden Café.

Their various food stations are still occupied with the regular options like appetizers, bread, soup, dim sum, sushi and sashimi, curry, main courses, halo-halo, and desserts. However, every Friday, the Marriott Cebu Seafood Buffet graces its dining table with seafood specialties like grilled lobster, shrimp, and chili crab aside from their usual spreads.
The Marriott Cebu Seafood Buffet Highlights
Sitting under the golden glow of the restaurant, our tasteful conversation was then accompanied by a couple of plates with seafood aplenty. Being the highest range in terms of Marriott Cebu buffet price, they had indeed made sure that you get what you pay for.
Crabs, lobsters, and shrimps are all expensive when bought in the local market, and their all-you-can-eat offerings would be something you shouldn’t miss.
For starters, the grilled rock lobsters have a tempting kind of meat you’d want to pair up with their sauces. A quick request from the chef and they’ll start grilling your lobsters as much as you want.
If you’re up for some crabs, they have fresh catches which you can either have steamed or in sweet chili style. I gorged myself on a couple of sweet chili crabs with an utter sound of delight crossing my mouth. The flavors gave an interesting twist to the crab’s meat. This variation was one I’d prefer more, but both are exceedingly good in preparation.
Some mouth-watering shrimps sat on my right, and it assuredly doesn’t escape your notice. The salmon and tuna sashimi were great addition to this seafood-themed buffet as well. While it’s tempting to fill your plate with their Japanese food, a variety of the buffet at Marriott Cebu might entice you to think twice before doing so.
Aside from their seafood specials, their main courses were also a standout. There’s chicken teriyaki that’s tastefully laden with a flavorful sauce, and some vegetables to go along your side dish.
For soup, the sinigang is well worth your choice. You can have one freshly-cooked by the chef at their soup station. Something about the steam dissipated in the air gives your stomach a want for warmth. It keeps your appetite going to help you brave the foods you’re still about to devour.
After a long meal, there is still much room for dessert for us, so we tried their Creme Brulee. I remember two years back when I got to try this dessert here for the first time and I loved it. It glides in your tongue smoothly without being overly sweet. For their other dessert varieties, there’s panna cotta and multiple flavors of cakes as well.
Once again, the Garden Cafe Marriott Cebu buffet proved to be a one-of-a-kind contender amongst the pool of buffet restaurants in the city. For one, their exemplary service makes them top among the rest. As a person who constantly searches for the newest eats in town, the Cebu City Marriott Hotel buffet will always feel like home, and I’d be running to it any time. 😉
