Harolds Hotel Cebu Dinner Buffet Choices
Is the Fantastic Mondays Dinner Buffet worth your every peso? We’ll find out more here.
When it comes to their preparations, I’d say the choices were superb considering I made me a couple of rounds of eating. Their Pan Fried Mahi-Mahi Fillet in Tomato Pesto Cream Sauce is worth mentioning for its creamy texture that blends in your mouth quite well.
Of course, who would want to miss a good bunch of their cheesy Baked Scallops? Not I, for I certainly am a fan of this seafood dish. They have other options as well like the Beef Bourguignon, Baked Lemon Paprika Chicken, and Pasta.
It’s also a plus that their dishes are varied and enough to tingle your palate …
It’s also a plus that their dishes are varied and enough to tingle your palate – not overwhelming and has a right kind of consistency to its overall taste. I’m uncertain whether they change up their dishes every Mondays, but this one is great to look out for.
Top-Bottom: Beef Bourguignon, Pan Fried Mahi-Mahi Fillet, Baked Lemon Paprika Chicken
I’m most impressed with the Slow Roasted BBQ Pork Ribs in their carving station. For me, it was one of the best highlights of the meal – what with its soft, luscious flesh slathered in its thick BBQ sauce (or peppercorn sauce, if you prefer), it’s a lip-smacking delight. Theirs is roasted to perfection, which is why my friends and I couldn’t get enough of it the whole night.
Tempura and Shawarma Station
Their hot and freshly-cooked tempuras are also worth a try. There are two options: vegetable tempura and shrimp tempura. Match it up with its spicy condiment and you’ve got a pretty combo that will push you to get five more plates of it.
If you’re up for some carbo-induced meal, they’ve got a neat Shawarma station where you could have the chefs make one for you on the spot. A quick tip, though: Don’t over-indulge yourself with the heavy, carbo-loaded shawarma that they got. Try to explore more of the foods that they offer!
Unlimited Fresh Mocktails
Not all buffet restaurants offer an unlimited refill of drinks, but it’s a good thing the Harolds Hotel Cebu restaurant is none like the other. For this one, they had the Red Samurai, Pineapple Lemonade, and Cucumber Lemonade.
Get a chunk of ice and refill your glass with any drinks as many as you want. Although, I wouldn’t suggest doing that because the best part has yet to come – desserts!
The Fantastic Mondays Dinner Buffet laid some drool-worthy desserts like Pandan Crème Brulee, pavlova, leche flan, choco moist cake, coconut macaroons, choco chip cookies, mango sago, fruits, and crepe batter.
At the end of a meal, I always look forward to digging into the desserts table. This one, in particular, the Pavlova – a meringue-based dessert that has soft and light insides and a crispy crust – became a bona fide favorite. It’s topped with three flavored macaroons and a chocolate cream. Their pandan crème brulee and leche flan were also a must-try.
